One of the really great things about life on the coast and living in Newport Oregon is going for walks along the Yaquina Bay front. My husband, 2 dogs and I developed a routine of walking past the public docks and then we stop to check out the commercial docks. There are always new things to see and the scenery is constantly changing.
Newport is a working Port and on today’s walk a Fisherman was unloading a containers of crab. He had a shirt on that read, “I have a crabby attitude” and when I asked if he really was crabby he said, no, no, no, today was a happy attitude day. It was a good crabbing season, the prices are high and any time you are unloading a full load is a good day.
