When we went for our morning walk on Nye Beach this winter, it was a windy day with lots of sea foam. But what was most unusual about the walk was seeing two people kayaking in the surf at Nye Beach. I’ve seen surfers with boards, but never anyone in a kayak. When we arrived, one got dumped by a wave and shortly after the second one was ousted out of the kayak. Guess they had had enough because they captured their oars, and then retrieved their kayaks, and called it a day.
Life on the coast is always interesting, and you just never know what you might see on your routine morning walks along the beach.
